Walking

Ever since I could feel Wyatt kick inside of me I knew that I would have my hands full. I never thought that he would start walking at 8 months!!! Crazy!!! Wyatt has been pulling himself up on everything for awhile and using random household objects like laundry baskets and diaper boxes like walkers. One of his favorite things is when Clark or I hold his little hands and he can walk all over the house like a big boy. Lately, he has only been needing one of our fingers and today he took 5,6,& 7 consecutive steps all by himself. We got a few of his first steps on video, but of course he took the most steps when no cameras were rolling(who knew he was camera shy).

Now if only he would say, "Mama!"

Getting ready to walk

While we're in any rush to have him start walking (although the sooner he does, the sooner he starts doing chores, right?)Wyatt has been getting ready to give up crawling. He gets bonus points for using an ordinary household item and not requiring a fancy toy to do this trick:

Etsy Shop

Everyone who knows me knows how much I love to make things. Well I decided to do a craft fair this past weekend and spent 2 weeks sewing up a storm to try to have enough stuff to sell. Well, the weekend of the craft fair there was a huge snowstorm so nobody came. haha. I did have 2 vendors buy some things and a bunch of others who wanted to trade me. Bumpy ride

Wyatt has always preferred his stroller rides to be bumpy, but this is the roughest ride he's ever had. He spent most of the time kicking his feet and grinning, especially when we were going down parts of the path so steep that I was essentially running and sliding to keep my balance behind the stroller. The video below shows how he spent the rest of his bumpy ride.

We made the short drive up to Boulder today to see the mountains before it gets too cold. In the first pair of pictures, we are overlooking the city and the range facing East.
