All you moms out there:
Does anyone have recommendations for a humidifier that doesn't get moldy or need to have the filter changed frequently. Is it better to have a warm humidifier or cool?
Also, I need suggestions for relaxing music to listen to while giving birth. Does anyone have any ideas or CD's I can borrow?

hahaha RELAXING MUSIC WHILE YOU GIVE BIRTH?
honey, take it from me.
you need some serious JAMS girl to get all that adrenaline going.
How about:
Britney Spears "Womanizer"
TI "Whatever you Like"
Hey Kristin-
Clark gave me the link to your blog. Very exciting to have a little Dray on the way. I saw Marilyn and Mark, (oh and Mark Jr. wow has he turned into a handsome man!!) at Jake's open house. Marilyn can barely stand it, so is so thrilled about the baby. Man and I just realized, another boy for her. That's funny.
Anyways, I am with Lauren! First of all, at least for me, music would just been a distraction. I have had two wonderful births, but during portions of pain I was just pretty focused on getting through it. If you are having an epidural (and all goes as planned) you can sleep, watch some t.v. or even just visit with anyone around you. If you have music you already enjoy, just take it. I wouldn't seek out anything special. Just anything that brings you comfort.
About the humidifier, I have heard that ones that requires cold water is better. I just have one from the drug store and it works great. Nothing special. I rinse out the filter from time to time. We barely use it. Maybe once or twice a year.
Best of luck on your delivery! Just relax and get an epidural. That's my best advice.
Take care!
Ashley
Get a cool humidifier. I think the warm ones get moldy faster and you always have to change the filter which kind of sucks. It was fun to see you at your shower. I hope you enjoy your last few weeks. You will probably have your baby before me. I love the monster.
